At on-site appointments at your home or office, your receive your scans instantly on your choice of a flash drive, DVD or external hard drive. Our tech will explain any procedures which you might have questions about, and by your simple request he will load your entire project onto a cloud service for you to share with family and friends around the world.
For appointments at our studio, we endeavor to get your scans to you as quickly as possible. Depending upon our schedule and the quantity of condition of your project images, slides, loose photos, negatives and documents usually take a few days to a week. Photo albums depend upon whether you want whole page images or individual photos. We can give you some great tips to speed up the process a lot. Video, audio tapes and films usually take about a week.
Photos may be scanned to 300, 600 (preferred) or 1200 dpi JPEG or TIF. Slides are scanned at 4000 dpi JPEGS. Negatives are scanned as JPEG and Documents are scanned as either searchable PDF or JPEG, Videos are scanned as MPEG 4 or MOV
Images are scanned to high performance flash drives, DVD’s or compact external hard drives, as well as to a cloud service.
For on-site appointments at your home or office, and for pick-up to our studio and return the minimum is four hours. If you would like to drop-off to our Woodland Hills studio, the minimum is two hours.
There is no charge for equipment set-up times and breaks. If you are in our Primary Service area (please see map below), there is no charge for travel.
If you are beyond that area, there are minimal charges for travel depending upon distance from our studio
For on-site appointments we are paid at the conclusion of each appointment, even if there are more ahead. We accept local personal checks made out to “Home Archive Services”, Venmo, Paypal, VISA, Mastercard and American Express.
