Photo Scanning Services' Photograph Digitizing
Q: What makes Home Archive different from other scanning services?
Since 2013 Home Archive Photo Scanning Services has been one of So Cal’s premier photo digitizing services – and we’re something different. Rather than only digitize photos, we scan multiple media formats including slides, photo albums, negatives, documents, books, mounted images and artworks. And to our knowledge, no other local company offers all three of these location options.
Q: How does it work?
When you contact us we’ll answer all your questions. If you give us the go-ahead we’ll reserve a date for you. We’ll schedule a conversation with the artisan technician assigned to produce your project, insuring his full understanding of exactly what you want. When your turn comes up, he’ll organize, digitize and preserve all your keepsakes on a free flash drive, DVD or optional wallet size compact drive, as well as upload your archive to your preferred cloud service.
Q: Do you charge for set-up or travel at on-site appointments?
We never charge for setup or pack-up time at on-site appointments. If you’re within our primary Southern California service area, travel is included at no additional cost. For locations outside our regular coverage, a modest travel fee may apply – we’ll let you know in advance. You can check the Service Area Map on our website or contact us directly to confirm.
Q: Do you scan both sides of photos and documents?
Absolutely. Many family photos and documents have valuable writing, names or notes on the reverse side. Whether it’s a date scribbled on a photo, a message on a postcard or annotations on a legal document – just let us know what matters to you and we’ll make sure it’s included in your archive.

Once you reach out, we’ll help you decide which of our location options – on-site, pick-up, or drop-off – is right for you. When you give us the go-ahead we’ll assign one of our artisan technicians to produce your project from start to finish. You’ll have a direct conversation with him before he begins to explain what matters to you. Using exactly the right state-of-the-art equipment for each format, he’ll expertly organize, scan, crop, correct, and finalize your material. Then he’ll copy your completed archive to a free flash drive, DVD or optional compact hard drive. If you want more copies he’ll create them on the spot.
